The SAR harnesses, Slings, Pulleys and Pulley Systems, Stretchers, Bags and Helmets have been designed using new materials and styles due to comments made by users of manufacturer’s equipment.

There is no way they will agree with every one’s thoughts, but that’s a good thing as it adds another dimension for those willing to try something new. SAR product designs have already been crudely copied by other companies but without the technical knowledge leading to the end product and as usual missing some of the vital detail just to reduce the cost.

Since SAR’s conception it has been and still is the MCA (UK Maritime Coastguard Agency) Preferred supplier for Technical PPE and Rescue Equipment e.g. Harnesses, Stretchers, Quadpod’s, Rescue Strops, Slings, Helmets, Pulleys and Rope Locks, etc.

It has this year become Preferred supplier to PGL with the new MERLIN Sit and Chest harness and link sling’s used in all their centres for outdoor activities in the UK and parts of Europe.

SAR is also the Preferred Supplier to the SAS, SBS and Royal Marines Arctic Warfare with the BLACK HAWK and KITE Chest Harnesses and other technical intervention and rescue equipment.

SAR equipment is used by many of the UK Police Special Units and Fire and Rescue Services.

SAR equipment is being used more and more by the telecommunication and electrical supply companies in the UK, more especially abroad as they seem to like the new equipment and designs.
In the Far East Oil refineries and gas companies are using and being trained to use the SAR equipment in both Technical Access and Technical Rescue. SAR is also in the Final stages of supplying and training within the Middle East and India.
