]]> The Roll Up Stretcher Splint (RUSS) is a robust, lightweight and extremely portable emergency stretcher. Made from hard wearing HDPE plastic, it will stand up to the harshest of environments. Its smooth, low profile underside means it can be dragged when necessary.

The 4 side carry loops double up as lifting points, used all together to lift horizontally, or just the upper pair to lift vertically. The 45mm casualty securing straps are colour coded with lightweight, yet tough, polymer Cobra buckles. The padded straps of the integral body harness keep the casualty extra secure, particularly when lifting vertically.

With its extra width and length, the RUSS gives enhanced security and protection to the casualty. Both the head and foot ends can be formed into a cone to deflect debris when dragging through confined spaces.

It can also be used as a lifting / sliding mat without the use of the straps. Two people can transfer a casualty from one flat area to another keeping the casualty in a horizontal mode.

]]> The latest version of the Alpine Steel Stretcher incorporates a longer overall length, as well as a wider, parallel midsection to allow for a larger casualty. It still features the same flat bed style, which makes loading and transfering a casulty much easier than a basket type stretcher. 

The Alpine Stretcher folds in half ski to ski so that it can be carried on the back of one person, it is also stored in the bag in this position. It can be split in two for longer walks if required, however this isn’t usually necessary due to its light weight.

The Mountain Rescue (MR) version has skid pan protection underneath, which protects the caualty when sliding over rough terrain and makes it easier to sledge on snow.

Both the MR and the Civil Rescue (CR) come with lifting slings (MR – 2 metres, CR – 1.2 metres) which are used for winching and lifting/lowering as well as extra carry slings. There are locking pins on each side which must be engaged for vertical lifting and when sliding/sledging.

Carrying handles come as standard with the MR and can be ordered separately for the CR. Other accessories available include, Carry Slings, Stretcher Wheel.

Both the MR & the CR are supplied with a storage bag, which incorporates an outside pocket for inspection records. 

The Alpine Stretcher has been approved for winching by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency. 

Both the MR & CR will accept the fitting of carrying handles, these handles come as standard with the MR stretcher.
Both will accept the fitting of the SAR Stretcher wheel. The wheel must be ordered separately.

]]> The updated EVAC Body Splint features a thicker, more abrasion resistant lower skin. Alongside this is a new lightweight upper skin which maintains the overall low weight.

The EVAC has a width of 68cm across both the shoulder and hip areas and is 205cm long, giving more security and protection to the casualty.

It has six horizontal lifting loops, three down each side, positioned along the main trunk/torso of the casualty. All the main casualty securing cross straps are of 50mm webbing with adjustable clip buckles. It has an integral body harness made from 25mm web with crutch padding and adjustable foot support with padding for extra security and to stop body slip when in a vertical or angular lifting mode.

The two main vertical lifting loops are positioned at the shoulder which gives a true vertical lifting position for the casualty. The head section can be formed into a cone to deflect debris when dragging through confined spaces.

The padded head restraint strap also doubles up as the securing strap when the EVAC is rolled up for transport and storage.

It can also be used as a lifting mat without the use of the straps. Two people can transfer a casualty from one flat area to another keeping the casualty in a horizontal mode.
