SAR Products are able to provide Work at Height and Rescue training to suit your requirements across a number of sectors, whether in the UK, Europe, or further afield.

We have a proven track record of delivering informative, appropriate and, above all, useful courses to candidates to suit their level of experience and scope. Some examples of our courses include: Basic Harness Awareness, FPE Inspector, Stretcher Handling & Evacuation.

Our training team has wide experience of instructing more specialist courses for Fire & Rescue Services, Mountain Rescue, Police and Military. We offer courses in WAH/ Rope Rescue Instructor/ Supervisor/ Operator, High-Level Stretcher Evacuation, Steep Ground Operations, Tactical Rope Techniques, Search at Height, or any other training your organisation needs to conduct safe operations at height.

Overview
Our Harness Awareness course is intended for those whose duties include the use of basic Fall Protection Equipment.The aim is to provide the candidate with an overview of the skills required to understand when to use FPE and how to safely use basic FPE. If you require a more in depth course, look at our Basic Work at Height course.

Overview
Our Work at Height (WAH) course is intended for those whose duties include the use of basic Fall Protection Equipment. It is a more in depth version of our Harness Awareness course.

The aim is to provide the candidate with the skills required to understand when to use FPE and how to safely use basic FPE in various working environments.

No previous experience required.

Duration

Overview
Our Rescue From Height course is intended for those who may be responsible for the rescue of others from height in a working scenario, for example from deployed fall arrest lanyards.

The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the skills required to carry out a basic rescue in different scenarios using a pre-rigged rescue kit.

Previous experience
Candidates should have a valid Working at Height qualification.
This course can be run in conjunction with our Basic Work at Height course.

Overview
Our Fall Protection Equipment (FPE) Inspector course is intended for those whose duties include the detailed inspection of FPE.
The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the skills required to undertake such inspections, record the results and undertake any actions required.

Previous experience
Candidates should have some previous experience in Fall Protection Equipment and its use.

Duration

Overview
Our Basic Stretcher Handling course is intended for those whose duties may include the use of any SAR stretcher to evacuate a casualty from a relatively simple position. The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the skills required to set up the stretcher, prepare the casualty, load the casualty and move the stretcher safely & efficiently. Please note: that this course does not cover the assessment and/or treatment of injuries.

The use of the Alpine wheel can be added to this course if required.

Candidates do not need any previous experience.

Overview
Our Rope Rescue Operator course is intended for those whose duties include being part of a rope rescue team.

The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the basic skills required to operate safely & effectively as part of that team, usually under the direction of a Rope Rescue Supervisor.

Previous experience
Candidates should have some previous experience in working at height and rope work, and should be comfortable in those environments.

Overview
Our Rope Rescue Supervisor course is intended for those whose duties include supervising a rope rescue team.

The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the skills required to assess rescue scenarios and the associated risks, and to subsequently implement & supervise the appropriate rescue techniques or systems.

Previous experience

Candidates should have previous experience as a Rope Rescue Operator, and should be comfortable at height.

Overview
Our Rope Rescue Instructor course is intended for those whose duties include delivering Rope Rescue Operator training within their own agency or unit.

The aim is to provide the successful candidate with the skills required to safely deliver appropriate and effective training to new Rope Rescue Operators.

Previous experience
Candidates should have previous experience as a Rope Rescue Supervisor, and should be comfortable at height. Experience in instructing is desirable but not essential.
