SAR Combi Helmet

The SAR Combi Helmet has been styled and produced by Rock in Italy.
As there is no European Helmet Standard devised for those personnel working in Technical Access and Rescue, SAR Helmets conform to the two standards presently in use.
It comes in two standard styles, the first EN12492 is intended for use in mountaineering, climbing, caving, search and rescue and work at height. The second style is purely industrial EN397.
The main difference between the two is that the sports helmet, which most people use in rescue and industrial rope access has breathing holes unlike the industrial which has none.
On the Industrial helmet the chinstrap buckle must release at a lower force than the buckle on the sports helmet.
Most people in technical rope access and rescue do not wish to loose their helmet through having the buckle release.
The SAR Combi Helmet also has the facility for attaching our half face Visor.
