It used to be that printing catalogues was pretty cheap, and the world moved a lot slower. Which meant that a printed catalog could be good for up to a year.
But now they are very expensive unless you are doing huge quantities, take weeks or months of design work, the products specs change every day and it costs way too much to send them out, thus increasing prices.

Catalogues kill trees.

Our company, SAR Products Ltd, was formed as a result of Bacou-Dalloz formally Dalloz Fall Protection, formally Troll Safety Equipment, closing the Troll factory in Uppermill, Saddleworth, UK and moving their manufacturing to Slovakia.

Dave was the Technical Specialist and Designer, Dorene was the Purchasing Manager and previously the Quality Control Manager putting in the ISO 9002 system in 1995.

Dave had been employed by Troll Safety Equipment for the past twenty-two years as their Technical Specialist for rescue and rope access and designed equipment and techniques used in these areas.

He started the Troll training school and trained Fire & Rescue services, Police and Special Forces in the UK and around the world in rescue and rope techniques.

He was a Rope Access Assessor for IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) and retired from this position due to increase in work with SAR and was made honorary member of IRATA.

He has been a member of the PDMRO (Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, Oldham Team) for the past thirty nine years.
