SAR Slings

SAR slings have been produced from a new weave of webbing to give extra strength, higher resistance to abrasion resistance and UV degradation.
They come in varying lengths, two widths, 25mm and 18mm and two colours, 0range and Black.

18mm Polyester Superweb.
Break strength as a round sling is 24kN when new and the test strength for EN354 which is the most arduous of the three standards they conform to is 22kN. To produce a twin eyed sling a round sling is produced and the circle is then sewn together. The rescuers Personal Positioning Sling (PPS) has been produced the same way as the twin eye, but the top eye has a full wrap of protection and an extension tail of 1M to help with adjustment. The standard colours are Orange and Black

10cm Ref:S0001 & 20cm. Ref:S0003These can be used with the ROCKER or as a short extension for many things such as a cow’s tails in rope access.

30cm Ref:S0005 & 60cm. Ref:S0007These again can be used as above, but this size is mainly used as cow’s tail as in rope access for traversing. They can also used as a safety back- up link for yourself or a casualty in rescue, main ascender link sling in ascending and many other uses for the experienced technician.

10cm. Ref:S0014
This sling is mainly for use with the ROCKER as the flexible extension between the two Gator karabiners as shown.
