SAR Pick Off Rescue System
REF: RS020
This SAR Rescue system was first developed at Troll in 1985 using the ALLP descender. it can still be used with this but most customers prefer to use an Auto-Lock descender in the system.
The photo shows it with our A-B Descender as the friction controlling element. The system is all threaded up within a rope bag as is required by the standard EN341. If you use the pro ALLP tech descender as the friction controlling element, this is covered by the standard EN12841-C
With both these devices you can use the system as an escape/self rescue, or to rescue a n injured person as in a two man load or as a pick-of system lifting fallen casualty load of their lanyard, rope or sling etc. and lowering or hauling them to a safe point. With the later type of rescue there would be a couple of extra items that would be required to assist in lifting the casualty but this would not break the bank balance. By adding these it would give you a full multiple rescue system from the standard pick-off.
The standard system comes with 50M of rope but you can have different lengths if these are required for your particular work environment, just ask.
SAR do advise that the users be trained in the best ways of using this equipment by trainer who really knows the strengths or weaknesses of the system.
